Lauren Winkler is a staff attorney at the New Mexico Center on Law and Poverty and is a member of the legal team for the Yazzie Plaintiffs in Yazzie/Martinez vs. State of New Mexico. Lauren’s education advocacy focuses on the programs and services that help children become college and career ready, like early childhood education, extended learning time, social services, literacy, and small class size. Prior to joining NMCLP in 2015, Lauren worked as a managing attorney at DNA-Peoples’ Legal Services in Tuba City and Flagstaff, Arizona. She earned her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
