Ms. Winkler is a staff attorney on the Center’s Education Team. Before joining the Center, Ms. Winkler worked for DNA-People’s Legal Services in Tuba City and Flagstaff, Arizona. At DNA, Ms. Winkler provided direct legal services to low-income clients on and off of the Navajo Nation. She also assisted the Hualapai Tribe in revising its domestic violence code, assisted the Kaibab Paiute Tribe in drafting a Wellness Code, and drafted an expungement code for the Navajo Nation. In her spare time, Ms. Winkler enjoys spending time with her black lab, Elmore James, reading books and comics, and supporting local roller derby.
