You can raise money on Instagram by creating a nonprofit fundraiser that will live in your bio for 30 days. During that time, you’ll be able to share the fundraiser on other posts, in stories, or Live videos. You can host a Facebook fundraiser benefiting NMCLP! Log in to your account and select “fundraisers” from your menu. Here are five tips for hosting a successful social media fundraiser: 

1. We encourage you to set a concrete goal – don’t be afraid to be ambitious! NMCLP gets every dollar you raise, whether or not you meet or exceed your goal. 
2. Personalize your fundraiser and tell others why NMCLP’s work matters. People want to know why you care. Tell your story!
3. Personally invite your friends and family to give. Consider making a first donation to your fundraiser to kick things off. People are more likely to give if they see you did, no matter the amount. 
4. Share photos, videos, links, news articles, and stories! You can pull information from NMCLP’s website and social media pages.  This helps tell the story of why a donation to NMCLP matters. This year, we will be highlighting the stories of New Mexicans we have partnered with who have demanded justice and built power in our communities. Follow our social media channels so you can boost these incredible stories!
5. Thank everyone who gives, no matter the amount! Consider making a contribution to an organization they care about if they have hosted their own Giving Tuesday fundraiser.
